KSTU 2025 Calendar
Tuesday Sept. 9: LMC Road Cleanup. Our first chapter meeting of 2025/2026 year. Meet at the church parking lot on E. Creek Rd. just past Rochester Mills and before the RR crossing. A short board meeting and meal for starters. We’ll then divide into teams to p/u trash along the CRFFO (catch and release fly fishing only) section of LMC beside East Creek Road. Great way to walk off dinner. Hope to see you there!
Tuesday, Oct. 14: Board Meeting begins at 5:30 pm at the Homer City Volunteer Fire Hall. All members are welcome.
Members Meeting begins at 7 pm. Nominations and elections of new board members. Ready to take on a new challenge. Join our board and become a voice for conservation.
Our presenter for the evening is Paul Nieman. He is a western PA native trout angler who has been in pursuit of natives for 20 years. He is on a quest to catch them all. Learn about the many species and subspecies of trout/salmon and the beautiful places they call home. Should be a great opportunity for us all.
Tuesday, Nov. 10: Board Meeting begins at 5:30 pm at the Homer City Volunteer Fire Hall. All members are welcome.
Our members meeting will feature presenter Joe Clark, a coach of the United States Youth Flyfishing Team, who will talk about steel heading tactics. A timely topic for the season.
Tuesday, Dec. 9: Board Meeting begins at 5:30 pm at the Homer City Volunteer Fire Hall. All members are welcome.
This is the date for our annual Christmas Pizza Party. Landon Cook, a member of the US Youth Flyfishing Team, will share some of his experiences as an international competitor. He and the team won the world championship last year and are looking to try and repeat that performance. We also hope to hear from Adam Cotchen of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy about planned (and funded) habitat improvements to the CRFFO section of the Little Mahoning Creek and the state of the Yellow Creek Bank Stabilization we were a part of. Hope to see you all there.
